The Maple Loaf is the traditional way to preserve maple syrup. Our ancestors boiled the maple syrup longer to make it crystalize and would pour it in a wood mold. As the year went by, they would crush or grate it to replace white sugar. You now can also grate it over warm oatmeal, yogurt or ice cream! You can even sprinkle it over a latte or cappuccino.
